“On the Side of the Road” examines Israelis’ collective amnesia about the 1948 Nakba (catastrophe) when over 700,000 Palestinians were expelled from their homes. Through interviews with Israeli war veterans and descendants of Palestinian refugees of 1948, former West Bank settler Lia Tarachansky unravels the ideology of denial perpetuated in Israel today.
