TODAY @NYU: Born Here – Palestinian Cultural Resistance

The emergence of the hip hop movement in Palestine has since been empowering Palestinian youth to use art to express the struggle for freedom and equality. Join us for a panel featuring DAM hip hop artists Mahmoud Jrere, Tamer Nafar, and Suhell Nafar discussing the inequality experienced by Palestinian citizens of Israel and the use of culture as resistance, followed by a few song performances.
